For my current project “Family.Foreigner.”, I am looking at the diaspora of different, including younger, migrant groups in Athens. I am interested in how they live together as minorities, how they preserve their identity and culture and how they try to move and manifest themselves both in the Athenian community and in their original homeland. To this end, I will collect narratives within these groups and then juxtapose them. Do the connections maintained by the diasporic groups to their country of origin differ depending on the minority, and if so, how can I represent them artistically?
