The Shape of Absence is an analog project based on direct intervention on exposed film. Chemicals and tools corrode the gelatin, erasing light and generating gaps: form emerges through subtraction. The film becomes a continuous narrative surface, where fragments accumulate beyond control. Intentional only in shooting and sequencing, the process unfolds through chemical unpredictability. Photography shifts from representation to matter: a physical, temporal body where images lose definition and persist as traces.
