The project I aim to pursue during the residency at Yellow Brick is a continuation of a jacquard series initiated with my works “Serie of Canga” and “Steam Bath (écran total).” Drawing inspiration from 18th-century anatomical drawings by naturalist Jacques-Fabien Gautier-D’agoty, this new series explores the body by incorporating its visceral aspect. My focus on the drawing and production of jacquard fabric leads me to contemplate questions related to the consumption of images, the value of artworks, and trade. These themes were expressed in a performance within the installation of “Steam Bath (écran total),” and I intend to further explore them while producing the fabric patterns.
